Fate's Intervention

Leila opened and closed her mouth several times in an attempt to answer, before giving a shake of her head. She found herself tilting her head to lean it on Signy's shoulder, squeezing her fellow Guardsman's hand tight.

Signy let her do as she wished, eventually shrugging and rolling her head to crack her neck. Dropping her knee down, she moved her free hand to tug at the woman's opposite hip, moving Leila to straddle her. She didn't say a word, for the moment, tilting the woman's chin up with her once again free hand as she opened her wild, green eyes. "There was a question there." She said, having not caught her nonverbal answer.

Leila looked down at her, her heart hammering behind her chest, and she answered Signy's question by leaning in and capturing her lips in a kiss.

Signy's hand moved to quickly knot in the other woman's hair. She was aggressive at times, she knew, but between frustration --- in varying senses of the word --- and the sheer need to take her mind off of everything, she quite frankly didn't seem to care. Leila did her best to return the kiss with passion, but it was hard with how scattered her mind was to put up anything resembling a cognizant defense.

The poor woman hardly stood a chance, to be absolutely frank on the matter.
